16.Rundbrief, November 2010
Dear friends,
Since last December, no newsletter more of myself, which suggests many activities and is also related to a problematic Internet access.
was in January and February rain and holiday season with very little pastoral activities. I was a seminarian for its annual Internship: Wilmer Infantes. In February I was able to make a trip to Israel, along with 10 other priests, the Archbishop Trujillo and some laymen. For me it was the first encounter with the Holy Land and I am very grateful to the homeland and the places where Jesus met zuhaben.
early March were three sisters of the Hermanas del Buen Socorro, the relative number of rooms in the parish center. Next year I would like to build his own sister home, preferably with a health station in the first floor. Sister Carmen works as a teacher, Sr. Fidelina is a nurse and Sister Rosa Elena has worked in the ministry. On March
began the parish school. We have few students, but a good quality. In October, they have many prizes in a math-and reading-won competition: kindergarten 15 children, Primary school in 2 classes 12 students. This also means a monthly deficit. Next year we will 1.-4. Class of primary school to offer.
end of March, then again the very intensive Holy Week.
In April / May, then started the First Communion and Confirmation preparation, and the visits and parties on the many villages. That was now significantly better with the new off-road vehicle acquired in December. This was possible by using Adveniat and the Archdiocese of Freiburg, and the sale of the 10-year-old former car.
In May, the minister in neighboring Cachicadan (40min ride-there are hot springs) in his parish - for health reasons. The Archbishop sent me a deacon, Rudy Castro, who is also from the community, and since then I manage with the parish. The deacon is ordained a priest now (on 11.9.) And has been at the weekend in the parish in Cachicadan and from Monday to Thursday in the rectory with me. Colanders I've still a motorcycle (Chinese, is cheaper) purchased because we are a big team now, a car is often not enough.
In July, then again the great fixed James (Saint), so it takes 18 days. In August
were then opened the Textilwerstätten. The two-storey building was financed by Barrick Gold, the company Wayra from Lima is about 30 women and 15 men from the loom and the knitting and crocheting. The quality becomes better and the products can find new markets, the company buys the entire production and finally forms cooperatives from the participants. This is of course a good thing for the students who are enthusiastically. On the second floor with private access to the road a parish own restaurant was opened. We offer a good and higienisch prepared food in the upper price segment of Santiago, in bright and clean rooms. By winning some poor and abandoned elderly are catered for. Since mid-October I rented the restaurant concession, which entails less administrative apparatus, and further allows a cook for the elderly. Also in August involving
from Trujillo for a week 50 lay missionaries who have visited a total of 27 villages. The purpose is to win in every village employees and establish a minimum ecclesiastical structure there. In about half of the villages we now have a "Comité Católico", which is once a month in Santiago to take training. This mission was under the continental mission, which was proclaimed in 2008 in Aparecida (Brazil) from the Latin American Episcopal Conference. It's nice to feel the missionary spirit of the laity.
end of August Maxim Rudolf came from Furtwangen, the first Volontario Freiburg for a year in Santiago de Chuco. He works in the parish school (English, music and sports) and offers an open meeting on children and youth in the parish, so far with good encouragement. On 25
August I have my big 50th birthday celebration, first in my community, then in Trujillo with my former church and the state of Schoenstatt family.
In September I was able to finance in a population of the village church built of clay bricks, the roof (asbestos).
On 3 October were the municipal and regional elections in Peru. In the province of Santiago de Chuco, 15 candidates have applied for the provincial mayor, two were eliminated. Why so many? Because of the mining tax the budget of Santiago has grown by five to 50 times this year it includes about 120 million soles (About 30 million €), which is relevant to our situation very much, so much so that last year only 45% of the budget was spent. As would naturally be any mayor. The former mayor has made a lot of projects (especially Staraßenbau, electrification and drinking water for villages, schools and Gesunheitsposten), but also a lot of projects not know why he was punished with only 5% of the vote actually. The new mayor is evangelical pastor and feels called by God to this task. 19% of the vote, especially the evangelical groups, have given him the victory, thanks to the great competition and the consequent Splitting of the vote.
walked straight past the Firm weekend. 48 confirmands participated very enthusiastically in it. From Trujillo, a group that designed very well with music and personal testimony the day. There was a great reconciliation ceremony with the parents, which left many in tears.
We are in the Puya Raimondi, a cactus-like in the rocky highlands growing plant (only a few Naturschutgebieten Peru among others in a remote area of Santiago de Chuco), which blooms only after 100 years and then dies. For two years I have vainly sought a flowering plant (flowering with about 10m high) and this year there are hundreds. This is a good sign as the year of my 50th birthday: even and especially in old age there may be still a great heyday, why not for our church?
The large agricultural school project is still in the planning phase, which runs down a bit. The engineers and architects of the Catholic University in Lima to work for a year on it.
I have to occur in February next year on a visit to Germany.
warm regards, greetings to all in my prayers

The suppliers are able to sell cigarettes online because online sales usually do not attract taxes. Customers usually fear that by tracking their personal information, the federal or state agencies may apply taxes on them.
